A Witch's Path (WIP)

So new to this but been playing cog games for a while question I want to ask is when is this playable sorry if you have already answered this:smiley:

It’s better to refrain from asking the author when they are updating to avoid pressuring them. It’s in the FAQ.

He’s already said the demo isn’t quite ready just yet. Patience is a virtue and all that jazz. Don’t add pressure to the authors by asking that!

Here’s more lore for my world. Witches who are proven guilty of crimes against their Covens are sent to jail like any human criminal fitting the crime. But witches arnt sent to a normal prison. They are sent to solitude in a mirror in a secluded location like a prison:

And btw guys about the romance scenes should I make them all the same no matter your MCs gender? Or should I do different scenes depending on if your gay/lesbian? Just wanted to know so I can tweak the romances a bit. Like example your first date with Katie will be studying together no matter your gender.
Or if I do do the lesbian style scene Katie will be wearing a stylish clothes, make up, and no glasses to impress the MC because she feels like since she’s not as beautiful as you she needs to up her game to impress you even though she’s cute.
So should I do this let me know?

Long time lurker here. And I would prefer differentiation for the romances. It adds replayability as well as making them feel unique.

PS. Love how in depth you are trying to make it.

Well, I don’t think they should be too different, but then it would be quite nice if the Saint Uranus/Saint Neptune cosplay was exclusively for guys… (Maybe girls can cosplay as someone else…)

Mirror prison! That’s perfectly witchy. Lol

Hmmm… I think that romance scenes between a character and MC should reflect the romance between them. Unique to each romancable character since every character the MC can romance is unique and has a personality of their own. Gender shouldn’t matter too much since it’s feelings and personality that make up a person in my opinion. Love is love.

I think you should do different scenes if they name sense, like the cosplay scenes @ParrotWatcher suggested.
Just remember to make both homo or hetero romances equally interesting, even if they have different scenes.

i am sorry but i have to disagree on that i do agree that gender is not the only reason people fall in love it does play a rather big part in it especially for LGBT youth and to ignore it is kinda dumb in my opinion

In general I really prefer when there’s no difference in the romance regardless of gender, but in Stardew Valley for example I found that difference interesting. In Abigail’s romance scene for example, she says “I never knew I felt this way about other girls until I met you” if you play as a girl. If you play as a guy, is just the cliché we’re all used to see. So in other words, there’s two factors:

What would be the major differences? If it’s just a different scenario or clothing, then I don’t think it should be different for guys and girls.
How is LGBT people treated in your game world? If it’s the same or almost the same as in the real life, it could be good to make the scenes different, but if it’s totally accepted, then I don’t see why it should be different.

It should be different because men and women are different. Just writing a equal romance to both doesn’t feel right.

If you’re sitting under a tree eating watermelon and then you get kissed or whatever, what is the difference here??

There is no difference, but all the details will change. What 2 guys talk about is different from what 2 girls talk about. You can’t simple treat everything like it is the same
A good example was one @ParrotWatcher made, one of the RO likes cosplaying as his favorite anime character, this character has a BF in the anime, so the RO and the male MC can make this cosplay. While a female MC will get a different scene.

I always had the same kind of conversation with my male and female friends. It doesn’t depend of your gender, depends of your personality and your friend’s personality. I actually got pretty bored when a male friend of mine started to talk about fashion and I identified as a girl at that time. The matter and your reactions will vary depending of who you are, not of what you are.

I like @ParrotWatcher’s idea. Just don’t see why wouldn’t crossplay be an option there if you’re playing as a girl.

Wasn’t saying to ignore it. I’m just saying to think like the characters. What would “Insert Name Here” do with “Insert Type Of MC Here”? Gender does play a part, but it’s not everything. I guess everything needs a balance(?) and it’s always tricky to do when writing for so many characters and views.

But everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Sorry if I sound a tad ignorant. Don’t mean to come off that way. Translating my thoughts to words is sort of tricky(bet it’s that way for everyone!).

Poor @OracleD3 has a lot of work ahead of him.
