A Tale of Heroes (WIP) - 224k words. Updated 29/01/2025!

Still writing, been averaging out at about 1,000 words every day. I think I know exactly where this update’s gonna end - I’m gonna take y’all all the way to the dinner with Ignis’s parents, and all the awkwardness therein.

Here’s where I’m ending things for tonight:

So… maybe I’m dumb or missed something… but when the mind-controller sets up on the TV station, why doesn’t the PC just fly to them and knock them out? Why fight through the crowds?
I mean, they can fly.

Including? Or are you gonna plottease us and end the update as we’re walking into the house or something?

P.S.: that phrasing feels a bit awkward. How do you feel about “having entirely forgotten that her powers include the ability to talk without actually talking.”?

It’s mentioned in the scene, but the roof is way too full and the controller is using the crowd to hide herself, which doesn’t let the MC just float right to where she is.

Well, I do love a good tease… but my plan is to give you the full dinner. :b

And yeah, I did change the sentence a little after reading through it a few times, no need to worry.

Good, otherwise I get hangry.

Okay I must have missed that part.
I suppose the heroes would also want to disable the crowd so the Mind-controller can’t just force the civies off the building.
Though I do find it amusing that Seeker is able to fly to the woman… after we clear out the crowd for him.
Teamwork, I guess!

He has a baaaaaaad habit of showing up once most of the work is done! Almost like he’s trying to claim the most fame or something…
