(Wow, itâs really going to make me write a âcomplete sentence.â)
All this Ignis discussion when Aki clears them anyway
I mean, romance is hardly something that operates on logic or bends to it. The heart wants what it wants and if the MC catches some genuine feels then (considering they arenât exactly an old, experienced and jaded adult with bunch of romance experience under their belt) it can be quite naive to expect them to act as if they are a perfectly rational robot.
As long as the author doesnât bogart all the major fights and hand them over to yours truly because âMC is still newâ and âwill be a different kind of hero to the teamâ then Iâm good. We have a talking alien in our head, give us someone interesting to punch. Anyway, almost forgot how fun this thread is xD
This is my rare âCanât wait for more Aki contentâ post.
I hope you all have a great day. o7
(Also congrats on finishing law school. I am glad your nightmare is over.)
Embrace your inner Master Chief, become the best flying brick this world has ever seen.
This, relationships are overrated in IF they would never equal IR relationships. Itâs why Demon Recollect is one of my favorite, you just be a badass with a cool talking sword smashing people good or bad and story revolves on your badassery just unapologetic fiction.
@Jjcb Hi i just started playing your game yesterday and have just finished my second playthrough, just wanted to say i really enjoy your writing and the fact this is your first CYOA story is astounding you should be incredibly proud of yourself I did a aki romance on my first playthrough and a lat on my second and i have to say i really enjoyed the different pacing for the two romances, keep up the great work
I didnât think the thread would want me spamming loads of ending stats so iâll just keep it at one unless told otherwise, these are the stats of my first playthrough out of three but i can post the other two sets if thatâd help
Smarts: 75%
Melee: 30%
Charm: 31%
Blaster: 35%
Gloria_Health: 77%
Two years later and we still hung up over Ignis, damn.
Hey everyone, small heads-up.
No update yet, but one is coming in January. I just wanted to let you all know that Iâm gonna take out the Nova plotline, at least as it stands right now. I donât particularly like it, and Iâve been struggling a lot with how to present its characterization of Nova while also allowing the player to be a driving force in the narrative.
I still have plans to introduce Novaâs family, but it wonât be in this specific scenario. The upcoming update will instead focus on Mars, and for those of you dating Aki, the dreaded Forlorn conversation.
YAAAAAYYYYYY!!!
No, wait, thatâs not dread.
So, uh, are we gonna get beaten into a paste?
Depends on your choices!
Feliz cumpleaños, Señor Cuevas!
@Jjcb I think i found a small syntax error in the games code i managed to get this conversation but didnât get the +25 relationship boost with seeker. I think its because of the parentheses around the seeker +25 but i could be wrong
No, thatâs not a stat boost, itâs a stat check. Basically, the game has two different dialogues to show you.
Each one gives a âhintâ about whatâs running through Forlorn or Seekerâs mind. To get the comment about Forlorn, you need his relationship to be higher than the sum of Seekerâs plus an artificial +25 points in that moment.
The +25 is meant to be a meta hint about just how much of Seekerâs mind is consumed by thoughts of Victoria.
See? This is why my MC fell in love with Lati within the first chapter. No old flames. No overprotective parental/brother figures. Just a best friend who stood by you in your darkest hour.
So true about Lat. U even get a second chance for ro if u didnât dance with her. She was just too shy to say anything this whole time. At least she managed to accept being turned down well considering the courage it taken to finally say something instead of the situation being similar to Seeker and Ignis
