Both broke my heart but the first time I played I let her die and it was painful.
There are some really good songs I listened to as bgms druing the game so I would like to share them!
Romance with Finch: Powers-Heavy('Cause in my mind my protagonist fell head over heels in love with him until Part 3)
Spolier!
from Part Three 'til the return of Finch: Alan Walker-Fade
Light-eater route : Alan Walker-Sing Me to Sleep
Thank you for reading!

@heather I personally wouldn’t mind if you chose only one of the endings to make a sequel off of. My only concern about a prequel is that it won’t have as much Finch in it, and you wouldn’t be able to romance him
I think it would be a cool idea if the MC, Finch, and Alexandra had to team up to take down Woodward and his light-eater army. Maybe it could continue from the Free Mercia ending and be a good way to get Finch to join them?

I’ll keep this in mind.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying it so much!

Just re-played this on a long train ride. The scene with Grace if you choose the leg as your wound was unbelievable.
Thanks for making so much quality content for us.

It really is one of the finest games to be published by CoG.

Definitely, it’s so well thought out and put together. And I love the social-political themes, and the characters, and the depth of the different paths and how they illuminate each other on subsequent plays… and, well, pretty much everything about it!

Absolutely. This is still my undisputed favorite of any CoG or HG. Beautiful, beautiful work.

Surprised there hasn’t been a thread for this yet, played the demo and really loved the fact you can basically be a steampunk version of John H Watson, one of my favorite

I want to say that I like to replay this game every now and then, and it’s still as fun as the first time I played. Being able to choose how your character reacts to certain events (Finch! How dare you break my heart!) really makes everything so much more emotional. I still can’t decide which ending I like best.

There’s only one thing that upset me about this game.
SPOILERS
No matter what you do, you can’t become an efficient light eater. If you go down the path to become a badass vigilante that sucks the soul out of criminals, you always end up as a crazy addict that starts killing innocent people. And you always end up either getting killed by Finch or Jack The Ripper. No matter what. I wish there was some way to learn to wield your powers and become a proper vigilante instead of what DOES happen.

Well, that is kind of the point of that route. You’re not a badass vigilante, you’re just another insane murderer who needs to be stopped, and one way or another, you’re going to die in the gutter.

But you’re forced down that way by design of the story. As Jack the Ripper states, there is a way to control your hunger. This option isn’t open to you since you’re not part of the Light Eating empire, but I wish there was some way you COULD learn to control it. Because if you could control it, I see it more like being Dexter, or a lethal Batman.

It’s a question of the survival of the fittest. Others had more time to hone their abilities. But if there was a plausible way to do it without bringing in the filter of morality, then, it’s an interesting route to explore.

Very well put. I actually really like the whole “going down the rabbit hole” path the game already presents. The way the author did the blurred out options was insanely intuitive. I just think it would be cool to have that in tandem with the opposite side of the spectrum. Not by being spoon fed of course, you’d have to make certain decisions or have certain stats to be able to go down the proper vigilante path I’d like to see. This game is definitely one of the best ones I’ve played. And I’ve sunk hundreds of dollars into these XD

Will you make a series@heather,like his life before being discharged?Only have one playthrough but considering the many endings I’ve read here, its gonna be challenging and time consuming,so more likely a story in the past? Before Pierce, probably how he earned his way to be assigned to a mission that important?
Never mind saw ^.Its 2018 so there might not be a chance of doing it,another story in the same universe perhaps?
This game is amazing, and one thing I really like is that it’s self contained epic. There are so many adventures and life choices in one game!

Heather,
I absolutely love Choice By Gaslight, and as much as every ending seems satisfying in their own ways; I have to wonder: will you be writing a sequel? Because every ending doesn’t finish the story, and I would love to see myself actually taking part in a resistance effort to free Mercia (pardon the pun). Please consider

I don’t think there will be a sequel since there aren’t any news about it …
