A question about this magic system

The way I see it, imagine if you spent your entire life inside a suit with a battery pack determining how much oxygen you get.

Its been centuries since people knew that they could breathe outside, so that has long been forgotten. Now imagine the battery was about to run out…how would you feel? worry? panic? fear? or acceptance? I think the majority of people would be scared of what could happen.

Yikes hell of a plot bunny there, I even wrote three pages down before I forced the plot bunny on to the farm to run free with the herds of bunnies already there. Run free I say. Lol

@Nocturnal_Stillness splat! Lol yes they breed faster then real bunnies. Then add in my muse does not know how the hell to shut up. Lol makes a crowded and loud brain space. Ow can’t forget the dancing pigmies and warm fozzies, don’t ask.

Had a thought about how syn would work in-game.

There will be four stats (hidden unless you a born a synir) that determine how much of your environment is each element.

To determine how strong your Syn attack will be it’ll take your element score add the same element from the environment.

Ie using incendia with an incendia stat of 10 in an area with 5 incendia in the environment results in a Syn attack of 15.

Hopefully that makes sense!

I love the idea of the system, and also the Prologue is interesting I actually been wanting something like this, like Mercenaries Adventures and what not.

The prologue is bad ass if you didnt continue this that would be a true shame, I would love to see more of this world. I honestly find it very interesting I would love it if you continued this.

I Agree with @2Ton. I have also been waiting for something with this sort of adventure. I assume that major work on this wont start until Unnatural is finished though

Will the story change at all depending on if you are/are not a Synir?
Maybe certain characters are distrustful of magic-users for example?
It would provide some good replay value.

Yes the story will change depending on if your a synir or not. Some people are more distrusting of them.

The name was chosen because syn first manifested as a disease. One that was 100% fatal, you could last hours, days, maybe even years but it would kill you. It was believed that those infected had sinned. By the time the story starts, it isn’t fatal as we have evolved to coexist with the syn. The stigma that they are sinners still exists. It is not as widespread but its still there.

A great start, can’t wait to see more. I guess the only criticism I have(I’m more confused then criticising really) is that I normally always check the stats before I start any game (gives me an insight as to how in depth the game mite be) and noticed there was archery, yet the character only had a sword to dispatch the charging barbarian… Just thought it may of been cool to choose what weapon to use that’s all, other then that, awesome

You will get to choose a bow and arrow later. Originally had a choice of different weapons but removed it. It’ll be back for the next battle.
