This seems quite interesting! I like how you’ve included a younger sibling who may not understand the divorce. I’d like to see that explored a bit during the story if possible. It lends a bit of reality to the fantasy story that grounds it in a believable atmosphere.

Hello everyone! Hope you’ve all had a great weekend!
Currently, I’m over four thousand words deep since my last progress update…and I’ve only finished the first part of the Horus path in the beginning of Chapter One.
(Snippet from the Horus path: “This is what I get for failing third grade science! It’s divine retribution isn’t it!?” You let out a breathless chuckle when the words leave your lips, one hand clutching your chest to calm your rapidly beating heart as the scent of smoke fills your nose.
"It is divine interference, however it has nothing to do with a mortal grading system.”)
So, because I know that if I don’t set myself a due date I will just continue to delete and rewrite until my fingers are numb, everyone can expect an update Wednesday. This update will include the following:

Your Patron walking you through your stay in Limbo and helping to make sure you return to the land of the living.

A new memory with your brother where you will be exploring your relationship with your brother even more, your relationship with your parents, and be determining two points for your Physical Stats.

Meeting your Patron in the flesh.

New updates to the statscreen including a Personality Tab and Humor Tab.

Some edits and additions to the prologue to make the setting more realistic.
With that done, I have some information about adding a new romance option!
As I was looking over some notes about the story I noticed something. The current romance options, all together, total out to 13. For reasons I won’t bore everyone with the number 13 and I have a difficult relationship and I’m highly superstitious about having such an important piece of the story depending on it. I mentioned in an earlier ask that there were more romance options planned before the Patrons were added as ROs, so this poll is going to allow one of the previous planned ROs to be brought back! The following are brief descriptions of the romance options that are going to be in the poll:

Nero Delmont: Son and Official Hero of Lucifer. Pale skin, black hair, and black eyes. Primarily a magic user. Fraternal twin to Nadia Delmont. Snarky, sarcastic, haughty, intelligent, ruthless, and possessive personality.

Nadia Delmont: Daughter and Official Hero of Lucifer. Dark skin, black hair, and black eyes. Primarily a close combat fighter. Fraternal twin to Nero Delmont. Intensive, stubborn, empathetic, and courageous personality.

Aurora Montario: A lower member of the Fae Council in the mortal realm, half Banshee. Red hair, golden eyes, and dark skin. Primarily an information specialist. Loosely allied with the Seelie Court. Seductive, curious, secretive, intelligent, and tactful personality.

Anthony Velocitas: Son of Hermes and Official Messenger for Heroes in Chicago. Light brown hair, green eyes, and tan skin with freckles across his upper cheek bones. Solely works in delivering messages and information. Lives on the floor below the MC in the Elysium Apartments Complex. Easy-going, playful, judgmental, and compassionate personality.

Loren Morez: A lower member of the Shifter Council in the mortal realm. Curly, dirty blond hair, hazel eyes, and tan skin. Stays out of politics and tries to be a regular 22 year old, despite the fact that her father runs the Bridgeport Pack. A Runa- uturungu, also known as a werejaguar. Dependable, understanding, straight-laced, and stiff personality.

Luis St. James. An immortal being on the Council of Immortals in the human realm. Has a secret past with the MC’s family.Chocolate brown hair and eyes with light skin. One of the core members on the Council of Immortals. Suave, charismatic, commanding, and melancholy personality.

@Oli_C, there’s a major problem with this poll.
All the characters sound utterly amazing; it’s too hard to choose one. 
I’m going to have to really think on this…
Edit: You know what? I’m going with Loren. It feels like it’d be far more interesting to have at least one RO who comes from different mythological origins besides being a Demigod of one of the Gods and seeing their relationship with the rest of the Pantheons (of course, they all sound interesting in general). So here’s to hoping Loren or Aurora get a good number of votes.

I have a hard time picking between Nero and Luis. They all sound amazing though but I decided to go with Luis, suave and charismatic. XD

I feel like Luis has more of a leg up against his competition due to the fact that he has some form of connection with the Mortal Hero MC’s family.

You may be right; I might take that out of his description just to give everyone else a chance!
Also, those picking Luis for his history with the MC’s family may not like what he’s done to the various generations of them for the past few centuries.
Edit: A happy compromise; I blurred out that little fact of his!

I’ll admit, I didn’t vote for Luis personally partially because his description gives him quite the unfair advantage against everyone else (even if he is just has fascinating as the other ROs). Also because his connection with the MC’s family is the main interest he has going for him (his immortality in general doesn’t personally fascinate me much), unlike the others whose mythological origins are werebeast, Fair Folk, or lineage with another God from the Greek Pantheon and have stories that don’t revolve too much around the MC’s family.
Though that blurred confession does make Luis quite the ominous sounding potential RO…

Perfectly understandable. If I see that he’s receiving an overwhelming amount of votes I’ll cut that specific fact of his all together from his description.
If Luis does get an overwhelming number of votes, and if I leave that specific fact of his in, the runner up in the poll may be added as an RO as well just to even the playing field a bit because I definitely see where you’re coming from. However, the potential ROs that don’t get chosen will still be in the story as they were all chosen by me as potential ROs because of the already important or at least significant roles they play.
When this series was in its infancy, Luis was actually one of the main antagonists along with a few other characters that have been mentioned, if that gives you a feel for how his romance will be.

Well, like I said, all the ROs in the poll sound great, so it will be interesting to see any one of them win. I just figured I’d state why I didn’t vote for Luis personally myself.
Also that second blur of yours just makes me imagine my current two Mortal Heroes getting quickly protective of Caleb and not wanting Luis anywhere near their little brother.
And now I shall stare long and hard at this poll in hopes that Loren gets more surprise votes

I finally have time to try out the demo even though I voted earlier in the poll above since I found the summary interesting. 
Anyway, just want to say that I am deeply disappointed that it ended. I found myself wanting more and I am looking forward to learning more of the world and the characters. =)

They’re all interesting characters. I hope that we get to meet them all regardless of whoever ends up being the new RO. I particularly like Aurora for the fact that she’s fae - and a banshee on top of that. I’m guessing she’ll be a tough cookie to get to know.
With that said, my vote went to Nero because that’s the name of my dog because ooh boy, possessive personality is right up my alley, let me tell you. Also, he’s the son of Lucifer - and I’m always intrigued to learn more about the fallen angel.
Btw, thank you for that Horus snipped. I love the way he talks: “mortal grading system” I can’t wait to have my MC confuse him to hell with pop-culture references.
(I think I’m becoming too attached to the bird-man, someone send help.)

So since Nadia and Nero are essentially the same, if one of them wins will an option be included to pick the gender?

Haha! In an all honesty, when I first created Luis he was pretty much Desmond x10.
All of the possible ROs will still end up in the story, and playing significant roles, regardless of who is chosen as the new RO!
Nadia and Nero are fraternal twins and both play very different roles in the story; because of this if one of them wins it will be that twin that is the romance option. So, there won’t be a choice to choose either of their genders.
