Unable to recreate this error currently! I’ll have a deeper look into it at the next opportunity.
Ah, I should clarify that the ‘sinner’s death’ was attributed to the Church’s fault, as in they gave a hero a sinner’s death. Don’t know if that’s of much comfort to anyone, but they at least don’t pretend to be not complicit?
Good to hear it! It’s a prelude to the ‘smash-the-statue!’ sentiment that veterans of AMR will recall very easily.
I’m not sure Book I will be allowed to stay up once it’s submitted?
Nor do I–not for sure, anyhow. I’ve begun the submission process, though, and I suppose the talk will come up sooner rather than later! Personally, I’d rather Book I be up on dashingdon until the day it hits the market.
One thing I might suggest you add is an option to start directly from a different chapter (or the second book) and just answer some questions to determine what you did. I wanted to restart and choose different choices (I had run through the posted story), but it was absolutely daunting to have to start back from the prologue.
Very true, and, in the interest of transparency, very likely to be subject to procrastination on my part. Finding all the variables and distilling them into a few introductory scenes ought be one of the labors of Hercules, as far as I’m concerned.
Also, rather minor thing I’m sure was gonna be fixed later but just in case, I noticed that in the second book, a few of the character’s gender would randomly change from he to she and vice versa.
And this is my achilles’ heel, unfortunately. My beta testers are helping me with that, although reports on this thread also help a tremendous deal.
Though being on an assassination mission when you are supposed to be working with Black Grail seems a tad iffy, I’m going to let that much slide because there’s only so many hours anyone can work on something, and I doubt we are supposed to stay trapped in Arcadia indefinitely despite “circumstances”.
It does say during the Arcadian division segment that you’ll be conscripted to Nightsaber’s top tier missions occasionally, on account of being one of its only arcanists! Very selfish of them, but very convenient for me in pushing the plot along, ehe.
Not that I expect that particular choice to impact this one I singled out, chapters of work later, but the attitude the MC has/exhibits in previous choices within the same scene could at least set temp values to keep in line with the ‘apparent’ school of thought in play that heritage is meaningless in the face personal values.
To be quite honest with you, I expect that plenty of MC’s attitudes since that confrontation with Sister may have changed due to the absolute infodump that is Arcadia, so I no longer hold that variable as a reliable tracker of MC’s current feelings. This is doubly true given that more explicit personality markers (i.e. the ones tracked on the stats screen) can be annulled with the press of a button.
That being said, a rewording is certainly feasible. If nothing else, it keeps the tone inquisitive, which is in line with the rest of the options. Changed now!
Wanted nothing more to just hug my boy Saine, watching him drink his troubles away was so heartbreaking.
It was hard for me to write! Like, insanely, stare-at-the-monitor-for-two-hours-before-writing difficult. Saine deserves a kinder author, ahaha.
And the part where you come to your own conclusion as to why the snack contains mana, the first two choices keep looping back to the previous one. As in they don’t lead anywhere. I checked the code and apparently the why0 label is missing from both.
This should be fixed as far as I can remember. Will double check after posting!
There might be a chance to use all of them ?
The chance is not zero, no. However, any thespian knows the words that come next: but at what cost?
Thank you for the feedback, everyone!

You sound like you’re about to have a social anxiety-induce panic attack, and we don’t want that, so just take a few good calming breaths.

I’ve tried to make my MC mad at him, but ultimately, I get why he felt like it had to be done. Since MC couldn’t say anything, they looked v guilty lol.
