You didn’t go out with a bang, you went out with a sizzle.
The first book was wonderful! The plot was really fleshed out and I’m excited to see where the second book leads.
One thing I might suggest you add is an option to start directly from a different chapter (or the second book) and just answer some questions to determine what you did. I wanted to restart and choose different choices (I had run through the posted story), but it was absolutely daunting to have to start back from the prologue.
Also, rather minor thing I’m sure was gonna be fixed later but just in case, I noticed that in the second book, a few of the character’s gender would randomly change from he to she and vice versa.
Looking forward to the full installment of this on the app!
I got 99
What the. How?! I feel like my MC gets up to like 60 & I’m like “you go girl” lol
I’ve been going through the game code for a tangentially related discussion in the fan discord and…Why is this under “proarcadia = pro”? It’s very obviously anti-arcadian text
(I literally just saw @Unregistered 's reply going into this and more right after I posted this bruh)
Back on track with being up to date. Though being on an assassination mission when you are supposed to be working with Black Grail seems a tad iffy, I’m going to let that much slide because there’s only so many hours anyone can work on something, and I doubt we are supposed to stay trapped in Arcadia indefinitely despite “circumstances”.
I do have a choice that I think could be reworded for more in-character compliance.
That’s too open-minded for some MC’s, and in the specific case of mine, he had taken one of the conversation routes with Mireil asking why she did it, and then in response to her response chose the third option which amounts to ‘my loyalty is to my present!’ which in my head means a dismissal of any value to being Arcadian above it being ‘a thing that is’ if that makes sense?
Not that I expect that particular choice to impact this one I singled out, chapters of work later, but the attitude the MC has/exhibits in previous choices within the same scene could at least set temp values to keep in line with the ‘apparent’ school of thought in play that heritage is meaningless in the face personal values. But that’s if a rewording for this one choice is alright. It just isn’t neutral at all to a character that is scared, suspicious, and most importantly, pissed at not having a say in their revival. It is easy to sense early on that consent doesn’t matter in the slightest to Thalia, especially when opposing her.
Which brings me to another interesting dilemma; the scene where we’re on our way to Jiasei, when picking the first choice that does not indicate humor, and Yu responds going “Et tu?” all jokey as is usual for them when stressed, I couldn’t help but feel that very attitude minimized what my MC was going through. It would have made perfect sense with my MC’s cynicism stat (then 64%) to cut Yu’s comment off with the word “Slave.” Not shouted, not vehemently cruel, but definitely firmly, because my MC had a failed escape.

Thank you for the update, craving for Illya
can’t wait for her reunion

This story is so good. Can’t wait to rejoin the old gang and tell them that I dont hold any grudges.Just wanna go back and group hug them all.
Wish there was a way to sabotage the missions, obviously not possible with Thalia reading our mind. But i cant help but laugh at the thought of mc walking everyweher just a bit to slow,or them “accidentally” making the guards in the assanaition mission be more allert.Nothing that would fail a mission but just enough that it annoyes the arcadian side.Im petty enough to take every punshminet afterwards
Wanted nothing more to just hug my boy Saine, watching him drink his troubles away was so heartbreaking.
Since I despise Thalia and pretty much a petty person I would totally do this
I enjoy angering her lol
Hello! Loved the new update as usual. There are some mistakes that I’ve noticed. Like at some places Y’s name is written as the code, not their name. And the part where you come to your own conclusion as to why the snack contains mana, the first two choices keep looping back to the previous one. As in they don’t lead anywhere. I checked the code and apparently the why0 label is missing from both.
Thanks for the feedback and bug reports, everyone! Going to try to go through them slowly;
points finger at Plot™ blame that instead!! x)
I was relatively fearful that the scene would come across as too absurd, as it demands quite a bit of suspension of disbelief. But I’m happy to hear it’s found its crowd!
All three bugs are fixed in my private build, to be uploaded shortly. Makasih banyak!
It’s scene-bleed from the Nightsaber route, as you predicted! It’s a bug that’ll take quite a bit of time to wrap my head around given how vastly Chapter 9 branches out in the beginning, but I hope to do so sooner rather than later!
Other bugs are fixed!
Nope, but they stood back and watched, which may render them just as culpable in the eyes of some.
All fixed! Thank you for such a thorough report.
Correct! Will get on those rewrites soon.
I’ll admit to a little handwaving to this point, as the main reason the mage isn’t wearing a mask is because it’s convenient in that scene. But lore-wise, Salantira has had a massive political upheaval, after which most of the nobles which might have survived the war after seeing the mage’s face had been summarily deposed. This means they are no longer part of the Archangel’s clientele. There is also the added layer of protection that is the Archangel himself, who manages the comings and goings of his clients and assigns them to the appropriate agent. Guess which agent gets all the upstarts?
Further, while the art of portraiture exists, it is far from widespread in AMR, and military personnel typically forbid it for themselves to obfuscate assassination attempts. The former part is hinted at during the Jiasei chapter, while the latter is honestly winged to justify the masklessness of the Archangel route, aha.
Possible? Yes. Specific? Also yes. Requires quite a bit of code-shuffling to achieve (especially for one of my meager talents)? Very much so.
It’s certainly something to consider, but quite low on the pecking order for now. Apologies!
This, on the other hand, is considerably higher. I’ll definitely take another scan through the game and see where this suggestion might fit.
Thank you again for the thorough feedback.
Hi! Please reserve judgment on the endgame paths until development for Book 3 rolls around. I promise there’s a vast array of choices to choose from, and the murderous endgame is not the only non-partisan one.
Absolutely! And this ‘surprise’ segment has now been added in.
Unsure if I can fit this in, but hopefully this might tide over the uninitiated?
The biggest reason why that’s not the case is how each scene ends, actually. There is a very ‘final’ feeling to both of the scenes’ endings, if that makes sense, and having them flow into each other would make it feel forced (at least personally). I count it as something of a benefit that the less obvious path (aka skip fireworks) rewards you with an exclusive scene, something that was also applied in the encampment chapter (where retreating for reinforcements would grant you an exclusive scene with Leon). I think it helps replayability, and expands upon how customized the character’s journey is!
I’ll get on the rest later tonight! Thanks for your feedback everyone!
Never realized there was a special scene with Leon to be had there as I always save the kids…that is if thinking of the same scene area lol
I’m going to hold off until I get the context of that conversation XD
because I told Leon that ill never forgive him for this in book one
People who have me burnt at the stake don’t get friendly nicknames; they get “let’s get these treaty negotiations over with, King Leomar, so I can go back to not being around you”.
I just got done replaying book 1 for the achievements and idk why but during this play through I became suspicious of Ante being a mole for Arcadia
My thoughts are as follows
Ante is a Spy and an agent working for Arcadia, that’s why she was keeping an eye on the MC during the War, despite the MC having proved his/her loyalty numerous times.
also during the scene where Ante shows up to stop MC from killing the Saintess she deliberately ignores decorum and refuses to heed an order coming from her superior ( Royal Retainer ) which raises a few flags since she is a stickler for the rules.
I’m starting to think that she was given the orders from Arcadia to make sure that whatever plan is brewing by “sister” isnt ruined and that she became aware of the details of the plan on sacrificing the saintess and thus doesnt want the MC to ruin the plan by killing her
You’re not the first to say this, but I’m still not buying it.
1 - this would require Ante to be willing to sacrifice herself on the suspicion that you would make it on time; the Saintesse bomb going off would kill her.
2 - there’s little point in making the Saintesse the bomb if you have the head of intelligence and security on the Arcadian side; Arcadia could’ve just slipped Sister and a sacrificial mage in, which would have cost them much less in terms of people and resources than an actual war they’d have to lose for their plan to succeed, and it would’ve made the bomb unstoppable, because there’d be no way for anyone to find out about it.
3 - they could have skipped the entire bomb plot altogether, because Thalia doesn’t actually care about Siena blowing up one way or the other; what she wants is to get rid of the royal Parami bloodline, because THAT gets rid of the magic-cutting shapeshifting weapon, meaning they could just have Ante assassinate Julius, Leomar, and Saine* in their sleep and be done with it.
*and Saine is aro and probably ace, so there’s a case to be made that they could skip him and the problem would STILL get solved in a generation
