A Mage Reborn, Book Two (WIP) - UPDATED August 7th | Book One Released!

Yea, There are some minor grammatical and pronunciation differences, but for the purposes of the story, it really doesn’t matter. All the more so that it is fantasy so it doesn’t have to follow how it works otl.

Not to mention that people tend to do things like replacing i with y in names when trying to make them sound more unique in real world, yes?

I dont know if it is done to make them sound more unique. It seems like it is more because english in general seems to translate its “js” and “is” as “ys” from what I can tell.

Well, that depends on country (and language), obviously. Here parents definitely are modifying names to make them more unique, so that there’s not fifteen kids with same name in the class.

Alright, let’s talk more about the cultures and fashions of the Arvanand continent. This time, I’ll talk about the Parami fashions. I imagine this is how they kinda look like:

Spanish- and Portuguese-esque.

And maybe Moorish-esque in some regions?

Last but not least:

The black flamenca in this picture is close to how I imagined the black dress of that Calingrian maiden who tried but failed to hit on Leon to look like. (Because Leon is too dense.)

Speaking of names, “yurui” in Japanese means “loose, relaxed”. It’s not a name that means that, it’s literally just the word “loose”, which amuses me to no end because Yusuha is clearly adapted from an actual JP name (Yuzuha).

Of course, their last name is Cheilong and the story is playing pretty fast and loose with the real-world cultural inspirations, so it’s just a bit of fun coincidence that I amuse myself with lol. I just can’t help imagine their male edition as a loose bag opening every time I read his name. /pats him

Slight deviation from the fashion of the nations, but found another few songs for our mage playlists.

As for my addition to the fashion conversation, I have none because my sense of style is just out the window. Even worse than Eli. I kinda picture everyone in midevil tunics, trousers, and basic gowns. Except the folks of Yotai.

That song, “A Little Wicked”, kinda fits a vengeful Mage. I almost thought that song was written for AMR for a second there.

I think Seven Devils by Florence + the Machine fits vengeful MCs to a T.

As far as fashion goes I tend to overlook the descriptions in pretty much everything I read, It just wooshes over my head. This is what Salantria look feels like in my head. Compared to Param it’s more cultured, slick, and stylish, with lots of embellishments. And of course capes.

Just a little Arcadian architecture thing I saw on Twitter. We got that description where it said the wood and buildings became one.

And these remind me of Thaubal’s home.

I haven’t played the demo for a while, but it seemed that the reunion scene between Augur and his sister gets shortened no matter what choices you make. Is it just me or is it same for everyone?

I’m a late comer, and the current version is the only one I have played. So I can’t tell if any changes have been made to Augur and his sister’s reunion scene since the last update.

I don’t think it’s ever changed?
