@Kungoru and @K_Douglas are openly admitted that they are biased, but I’m thinking that everyone here (including me) is biased. Almost every time I open this thread, I see posts about why is Leon/Tahlia is bad, about why Param/Arcadia suck, about how kill Ante in the most painful way possible…

Sometimes someone post valid theories or new info, but then is again fall info good old flame war.

I guess this is the perfect time for me to say that Shama by Nilfruits REALLY feels like a song for the Mage in general! It seems like a near-universal trait everyone gives them is a tendency to misplace their trust really badly. Or at least get it taken advantage of by certain family members. :sweat_smile: :laughing:

No, that is :fire: :fire: :fire: you are absolutely right! In a similar vein, I am extremely attached to Song for Zula by Phosphorescent as a mage song about a person getting disillusioned with love and deciding that, “I will not open myself up this way again.”

Agreed, most of the arguments that pop can really be remedied by just going back through the forum. My whole argument tho is that it was the mage’s agency to choose to join up with Leon but it’s entirely up to the players on how they feel about Thalia. But what you and the mc feel about her is largely irrelevant due to the fact that no matter what your a tool. One that either happily chases the bone provided or the dog that need to be re-educated. At least when Leon exerts his authority it was one you willing adhered too.

But…it isn’t though? Tahlia has managed to create an enclave for Arcadians under the guise of the Ishavak Faith. With Miriel, the entirely of Salantir was under her control (presumably). She didn’t use that unprecedented power to secure greater rights and security for Arcadians; she allowed Miriel to start a bloody war with Param.

Her conduct and motives are severely suspect.

@stsword One thing we have to also take into account is class distinction. The Mateus, it seems, were the high nobility of Arcadia. There’s no comparison to be made between Tahlia and…um, the village chief in Merdel. They’re both Arcadians. In the same way that both Aunt Bess and Leon are Parami. But that says nothing about their stations in life, the power they wield and their goals and intentions.

So far we’ve only had a glimpse of the real Arcadia. While the Parami and Salantiri absolutely seem like the evil aggressors in that flashback, what we saw was the royalty and high nobility of Arcadia being assaulted. What happened to the commoners? To the bakers and cobblers and candlemakers? What are the odds that the Arcadians who actually survived to eventually be oppressed under Parami rule were the descendants of such common people?

Nothing I’ve read so far makes me believe Tahlia cares a whit for Arcadians as a whole. She wants to re-establish Arcadian power. That much is clear. What she wants for Arcadian people is much less clear…to be generous about it.

It could be that security is the life in secrecy. Is it really wise to reveal yourself (peacefully) when in history you were wiped out for what you are? You need to make sure a mistake like that doesn’t happen again and be prepared.

Let’s just wait for updates and see at the end of the story and let this Tahlia thing rest a bit please. Everything that can be said has been said :face_exhaling::sweat_smile: There is tons of other cool things to discuss
