Yes, but think of the potential!
Are you suggesting that we find the formula for this mind control drug, use it on Leon, and take control of Param via scapegoat, giving power to (myself, hiding behind) the arcadians hiding behind the scenes? Because thatâs a great idea, except I suck at alchemy.
There are people literally named Sohai, should they change their names too? Also half of Cantonese language sounds like profanities in Russian, I doubt that Chinese people are in any hurry to change their language. Come on, a lot of words mean something else in another language.
Why am I quoted here? Also, they just said it was funny, come on.
Yeah, basically.
Doesnât the MC get the formula from that old mansion while researching the bomb? I thought thatâs how they got it to drug the paladins with. Itâs also weird how Arcadia didnât raid the place ages ago and snatch everything thatâs not bolted to the floor, which I believe Tahlia should do in the heartbeat it took her to read Sisterâs mind.
Arcadia should probably raid the basement. Never know what theyâd find down there.
Im late to this party,I know but damn book 1 had no right to come out of nowhere and be an EXPERIENCE
I got attached to the same characters I hated when i began at first i expected to escape later and give everyone the business by the end Im chocking up like for you guys, this is fine, this IS OK
then seeing them later cope with the truth but at least still live on was a sour but fulfilling victory.
Usually you know when youve lost and you know when youâve won, this is the first time ive done both
now imma check out book 2 for the first time cuz im addicted to the pain.
Donât worry buddy, you come back to life in the second book
And itâs all downhill from there. ![]()
deeply unfashionably late reply but making character playlists is like a weight-bearing aspect of my personality at this point. also! SO fun to read what songs everyone associates with their mcs!
Favorites for my mc are:
Deuteronomy 2:10 by The Mountain Goats
âI have no fear of anyone! Iâm dumb and wild and free. I am a flightless bird, and thereâll be no more after me.â`
Laura by Bat for Lashes
âWhen your smile is so wide and your heels are so high, you canât cry. Put your gladrags on, and letâs sing along to that lonely song. Youâre the train that crashed my heart; youâre the glitter in the dark. Oh, Laura! Youâre more than a superstar!â
EnemyâImagine Dragons and JID
âOh, the misery! Everybody wants to be my enemy. Spare the sympathy! Everybody wants to be my enemy.â
Choosing to eat Eliâs food over Leonâs is probably going to be the final straw that causes all out war.
Iâd rather go to war than eat that veal again. Hell, I think Iâd rather go back to the pyre than eat that veal again.
I love this game! It made me cry my eyes out the first time I played. T_T
Question: is there an achievement guide? I couldnât find one, and Iâm missing the following achievements:
- Old Faces, New Places
- Switcheroo
How to get âSwitcherooâ:
Youâll need to choose the option âI become a local informant for a visiting spymasterâ in the first chapter. Afterward, youâll need to choose âPay a visit to the local information dealerâ during your day off in chapter two.
Itâs actually impossible to get the âOld Faces, New Placesâ achievement at this time because the if clause, which contains the relevant *achieve, is wrongly indented.
Here is how you would get âOld Faces, New Placesâ if it were possible:
Youâll need to choose the option âI join a performance group.â in the first chapter. Afterward, youâll need to choose âWatch a play at the local theaterâ during your day off in chapter two.
Thank you! I got all the achievements now except for the impossible one. ![]()
Is it fair to say that MC became to Saine what Eli was to MC? Saine has less freedom to wander around aimlessly, but heâs all alone while his older sibling controls the throne of the strongest nation.
I really hope I donât have to blow myself up for himâŚ
Thank goodness we only got burned alive insteadâŚ
That. That right there is what confuses me.
Especially in the case of an oppositional mage. It seems like sheâs looking at the MC and keeping a tight leash as a way of overcompensating for her inability to do so with Mireil. By now shes sure to have had an idea of the MCâs disposition, by her power and by accounts of Eli to know that collaring them didnt work out so well for Mireil, and it sure wont engender loyalty. For someone who sure seems to know how to work people, it feels like she critically misjudged the MC, who I wouldnt be surprised if they became suicidally motivated to escape yet another captivity.
Cos lets be real. The Mage in just about every itreation is real good at running and escaping, given enough time.
I just finished Arcane and I have to agree about Enemy. I also suggest What Could Have Been as another extremely relatable song to the mage.
Most of Arcaneâs soundtrack fits perfectly.
