Lol you’re right. When F was introduced I was like “whats your problem dude?”, by the time of the festival I grow fond of him. Somehow lol

Flyss has definitely been growing on me but I still want to know what their issue with me is. Because if it’s an inferiority complex I’m throwing hands.

Maybe it was love at first sight and Flyss is just subconsciously a brat >;p

There’s a side story on the Patreon that goes a bit into F’s background.

If i remember it correctly F was a slave who got rescued by sister and who then took her to the Arcadians as such F is a pretty big believer in the Arcadians cause and was also friendly with Mireil thanks to the whole rescuing them thing.

So i imagine it’s a mixture of the fact you use to work with Param against F’s side making her distrustful of the Mage to start with and also holding a bit of a grudge for killing Mireil.

THE WAY I THEORIZED SOMETHING LIKE THAT BEFORE YOU SAID THAT. MMMM. MY THIRD EYE.

To be fair, the barber of Arcadia does imply something along those lines. My mage would still repeat what they said to F’s face about her.

I see a lot of people assuming her ire is because she approved of Sister’s plan. I can see how one would get that impression but I don’t think that’s the case.

ok, I am kind of kinky and into the whole lovers-turned-into-enemies drama, so I romanced Leon in my second playthrough. So my original intention was to take revenge on him after i am reborn, but omg i seriously did not expect the dungeon scene with Leon in his route was so heartbreaking, and i did sort of like him for real now. So i spent the whole time stuck in Arcadia moping and trying to escape, i find that if you don’t agree with Tahlia’s ideals and dont hold grudge against your former friends ( i may be an extreme case), what Tahlia did to the MC is pretty awful. She took away their freedom again, even though the MC literally grew up imprisoned, being put on a collar by Sister and died bc of that, and now once again being manipulated against their will. I really like the choice where MC cried after the failed attempt to escape, it’s well-written.

Will we ever find out why Mireil didn’t just take MC and Eli straight to Arcadia instead of letting them get attached to Salantira and it’s people? The world may never know.

In my opinion, it was her own twisted way of protecting them. Because I just can’t think of another answer.

Funny I took the explanation in the game at face value- The Arcadians value their secrecy.

The Mage Reborn flaunting their phantasm to play weapon of mass destruction was hardly subtle.

So F was annoyed that the Mage Reborn was basically flying a banner “Arcadians and their secret bloodline magic are still around! Ask me how!”

Which is understandable. Although my characters response was “Sorry not sorry.”

Same. :joy: My mage was like, “Sorry, I guess? Not a fan of getting my eyes gouged out by my evil step sister.”

Thanks for the insight, that’s good to know and I don’t blame them for feeling that way but hey I’m not gonna let myself die either. Definitely not sorry for protecting the people I cared about.

“Apologies, at the time I was too focused on not dying to consider the greater consequences for you, the people I did not know even existed. Rest assured however, the next time a similar situation arises, I will gladly do nothing and let myself be murdered.”

Ironically, my mage probably wouldn’t be sarcastic when he says this

@Parivir
Um… Please forgive my funny neural pathway, but, uh… I noticed a place named “Sohai” in Yotai. Just so you know, “Sohai” is a Cantonese profanity. It means “stupid c**t”.

PS: I’m still out of hearts for the day. Can’t like everyone’s posts until tomorrow. :smiling_face_with_tear:

“Yeah sorry I used literally all the tools I have in my disposal in order to win a war against my older sister who was using the exact same overpowered Arcadian magic, would do it again in a heartbeat though.”

Leaf’s End is noted, this is pleasing.

Anyway I’m surprised that Arcadia didn’t just produce a bunch of Miriel-skillset mages to mind control every leader at once and turn everyone into mindless slaves to Arcadian rule. I feel like that mind control potion would be really useful over at Nightsaber.
Even if there are Arcadians who could counter these tactics in different kingdoms (although it seems like it’s just Yotai who might be able to) there’s still the other kingdoms (Param, Salantira) who when united with Arcadia would just bulldoze through everyone else/

…let’s. Let’s pretend that I is an L, shall we?

Moderate spoilers?

Tahlia has alluded to the fact that she keeps Mireil on a loose leash, but has never really elaborated on the reasons as to why that’s necessary. There are several different reasons for this, but one of the largest is the thing you just pointed out - the recipe of Palmerra is lost to Arcadia, but not to Thaubal (and therefore Mireil).

In fact, Tahlia and Mireil quite often came to blows regarding the courses of action the other would take. But their operations were mutually beneficial to one another’s, and so these clashes typically didn’t amount to anything more than toothless rebukes.

Tahlia guides along the perception that she had been Mireil’s master, in large part to assure the Arcadians (MC included) of the absoluteness of her authority. In truth, she is closer to something like a business partner (albeit one with considerably more bargaining power in the relationship); and this experience, among a host of other reasons, informed her decision to bring MC back instead of Mireil.

Eh, fair enough. That’s neat. Thanks for the explanation.

OK. Noted.

Or, I can think of two possible alternatives.
(1) Chyokai, if you want it to sound more Japanese-esque.
(2) Shyohai, if you want it to sound more Chinese-esque.
Maybe it could mean something like “the Sea of the Rising Sun”?

Just my suggestions.

Did she happen to write it down anywhere?

I hope not. Can you imagine the chaos if the arcadians found out she just left the formula to a mind control drug just lying around on a desk or something? Once I stopped dying of laughter, I’d be terrified!
