Am I the only one who likes Tahlia? Leon burned me alive, Tahlia gave me a second chance. It was very clear to me which side deserves my loyalty. Not to mention she also revived Eli and she too works for Tahlia. I saw no reason to escape.
I expressed my gratitude for my resurrection and was eager to work with her and she was pretty cool to my MC. She wants me to kill Leon and burn those who’ve burned me? With pleasure.
I’m glad that I don’t have a reason or a desire to be her enemy then She seems like a strong leader who’s powerful and smart enough to build a new, glorious Arcadia. I hope we’ll have chances to learn more about her and perhaps become a friend/confidant.
You see thats the thing about Thalia, If you agree to work with her - best person in the world: resurrects you, reunites you with your long dead friend, gives you new purpose in life, gives you work and even gives you a team. But if you don’t really swing with her ideals and Arcadia in general - she is gonna be your main villain who enslaved you and has full control of your life and there is nothing you can do about. As a character she is currently pretty mysterious but I like her nonetheless. @Think_Manner She does have a relationship bar and is confirmed platonic route such as Saine. I’m sure we gonna learn a lot about her in the future.
Thats the main issue, though. You can tell a lot by how someone handles opposition. Its easy for a person to like someone that shares ideals.
But when you throw atrocities she’s either outright encouraged or, at best, sat idly by and watched, what does she do? Nothing but excuses, and she barely tries to correct Flyss when we bring up Thaubal.
Currently the game doesnt let us confront her with the circumstances of our death, and I’m fairly certain if Shiraya’s situation were explained to both Yurui and Eli theres a good 60/70% chance they turn on her, but theres a lot as a leader I would have Tahlia answer for.
The sad part is I dont hate her or what she’s done for us. She’s just very eager to use her authority and power to duck any sort of accountability.
I haven’t done the escape route yet, so I will have to check it out. But imprisoning the MC and physically hurting or injuring them would be two very different things in my book considering Eli. I mean they are still loyal to Arcadia in a way. So Eli is kind of just doing there job as a warrior. From the sounds of it, it seems like Eli thinks its okay to put the MC in “timeout” lol If they don’t do what they want, which still isn’t (good either) We will need to have a serious talk about that with them for sure. But I should further clarify what I meant, by saying that if Tahila actually tried to kill MC or worst, then I’m sure Eli would turn on them. Its possible that Eli is setting up a plan later for your escape, while there still trying to figure things out.
Not only that, but by (escaping) you kind of end up putting Eli into a a very difficult position where they have to choose between there own loyalty and faith to there nation vs the love they have for the MC. I personally believe that Eli would choose you over Arcadia, if worst comes to worst. But it still cant be an easy decision for them to make. So I can empathize with them for sure.
I’m not going down that route but it’s obvious of course they are. They are just playing it smart. Biding time and striking when its right. I skimmed through that but weren’t they ready to slash Thalia’s throat or sth when the MC started feeling pain
On the whole who would Eli choose path just as there is no doubt, we have this answer from the authors tumblr (Its a spoiler so don’t read it if you don’t wish to see)
There is a route (among many others) where you can just give in to madness and kill the core cast and Eli would still even then (reluctantly) assist you. So even in the worst MC path where they are basically evil Eli still puts them above anything else. If they are with in such an extreme route, then they are with you always. Regardless of who they favor and what they believe in.
Ugh, why do they have to be so glued to MC? So there will be no choice to give up this relationship?
I don’t think it would be ‘healthy’ for them to stay with my evil MC … Unless MC has a set positive feelings for Ela and they would never use them for some perfidious purposes.
To be honest I really enjoyed Jack the Ripper route in Choice of Gaslight. You never meant to reach your goal but it was so gut-wrenching and good-written that it became my favorite route in that game. Hope Parivir will do something similar to it.

Btw, this thread moves like a mile a minute so I missed some Tahlia/Sister talk, and I saw some people saying they wished they could be more condemning of Sister or more antagonistic towards Tahlia and all I can say is remember, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. If your MC wants Tahlia’s day to come, I’m pretty sure that’ll be an option eventually. But for now, I regrettably acknowledge that MC kinda needs Tahlia.
