A Mage Reborn, Book Two (WIP) - UPDATED August 7th | Book One Released!

I have no idea why you’re telling ME this. The only people who we’ve seen engage in slavery are Paramites, the only people who we’ve seen abuse children are Paramites and Salantirans, and it’s hard to top the racism of people who engaged in genocide and slavery (aka, the Paramites and Salantirans).

This is called conjecture, forming a guess based on incomplete information. Same as you’re doing with the whole Arcadia is the innocent opinion you have.

Yeah, dont you find that strange?? Im telling you man, some shady shit is happening here and we cant see it yet.

What I find strange is when faced with a situation where even the genociders can’t come up with an excuse for the genocide, a bunch of people won’t shut up about defending it. GENOCIDE!

Real-life history has shown us that genocide can and will totally happen with no fault from the people getting genocided, so I don’t know why everyone is so hung up on “but in THIS case, surely there must be a reason that nobody has mentioned, including the genociders, for some reason”.

You’re not “forming a guess based on incomplete information”, you’re making stuff up that contradicts literally everything that everybody (including the presumably unbiased history files and people who would actually be biased TOWARDS justifying genocide) has said.

Forming a guess based in incomplete information is when I go “the near-entirety of this Yotai town is under a magical curse and everybody in it behaves contrarily to the information we’ve been given by people who have no reason to lie to us about this, so maybe the head honcho is mindcontrolling everyone”, not “the people from Yotai are actually magically transformed jellyfish”.

MC is literally enslaved. Has no freedom. Forced servitude. They see nothing wrong with it. Forced to work for them. Forced to participate in their genocidal plans.
While they may not have agreed with the experimentations on the children, they also did nothing to stop it. They did nothing to help them after either. They were just tools to be used. Sounds like good people. For sure.
Their entire system was built on classism. If you were not adept you were nothing. That was shown in the flashbacks. Everyone else was expendable. That is never a good look. Because the majority are not of the elite. Which means they were in some manner subjugated and viewed as less than. They also had no issue with Sister subjugating a nation to her whims. Certainly not enough to intercede. Because they view those people as less than. Expendable.
And they are perfectly fine with committing genocide. They have no interest in peace. They want the utter destruction of Param. But I guess that genocide is perfectly fine so long as you agree with the people doing it.
Genocide, subjugation, slavery are all okay so long as Arcadia is doing it. Because they are “good”. Everyone else is bad.

I don’t remember seeing this on the flashbacks but, regardless, yes, the people who can do magic get a better status because they have better skills. This is better than what goes in Param, where your status is entirely determined by who your parents were, regardless of your own skills. Unless you’re a girl, in which case you’re fucked regardless.

MC is literally the enemy. You were, if you recall, the literal bodyguard of the ruler of the kingdom that enslaves Arcadians and routinely genocides them.

Unless I missed something, this is not an actual goal of Tahlia’s. The only Paramites of relevance in her war plans are the royal family, because thye get to use the magic-cutting sword. Probably the Jovian Church as well, because, well.

They definitely didn’t, because that nation, left to its own devices, genocides Arcadians.

No, they don’t, or, at least, this hasn’t been stated. They want the royal family dead. The average Paramite is of no relevance, one way or the other.

Indeed they are. Well, except Yotai, who’s a non-factor unless you want to do anything naval.

They’re not “okay”, but funnily enough I DO give more leeway to the people defending themselves from their genociders.

Okay so slavery is okay, so long as it’s your enemy. Completely justifies enslavement. Doesn’t matter that the so called enemy did nothing to pre-empty elf attack Arcadia in any way. That makes it all better. Subjugation. Enslavement. Classism. All are okay. It’s all okay so long as the Arcadians are the ones doing it. Because it happened to them it completely justifies their actions. And since you added, sexism also perfectly okay. Good to know that is how you think. Perfectly explains your Nationalistic views.

You got an elf there that’s throwing me off, but if I understand you correctly, the MC definitely did something to pre-emptively attack Arcadia, and this i called being the bodyguard of the dude who rules the country that continuously genocides them. You can’t be the bodyguard of the autocratic royal family and excuse yourself of what the country does.

Param is the sexist country, by law, not Arcadia. I’m not seeing why you’d think Arcadia is sexist, considering this has never been brought up anywhere and it’s being literally led by a woman.

How can you genocide a people that no one knows is still around, as that was the key point of Arcadia’s continued secret existence? The worse they have done is demonize anyone attached. Which is markedly different.
You’re still justifying slavery. You’re still justifying subjugation. You’re still justifying genocide. You do realize that they kill anyone in their way regardless. Arcadia doesn’t care if innocents get in the way. Because they dont view any citizen of Param as innocent. That is how people justify genocide. You are supporting all of that. Because it’s okay if Arcadia does it.
I may have misread the sexism. But every other statement still stands.
