Hmm, it could be a form of it I suppose.
This is one of my favorite wip so far of all the wips Ive tried, therefore imma make some fanarts after I got home, Im so excited

I look forward to seeing what you create
Wow, great story! I especially loved the characters.
I also enjoyed making my noble, optimistic MC turn into a bitter, vengeful shadow of his former self, out to kill all those who wronged him.
This was soooo good I loved the whole thing I had an Mc that was kind to everyone but when it came to her being put to the torch her kindness ran out. She didnât swear revenge nor did she turn her back on those that still believed in her but she no longer has any kindness to give to her ex Leon and his kingdom even if she wants no part of any other factions
Though I do wish we got a little more of the characters dealing with mcâs death after the priestesses letter goes out in the form of povâs.
@Atomicurtchen You should read the short fan game about what Leon does when he vanishes for a week after reading Ilyaâs letter
Holy shit, I did NOT know about this and it is GLORIOUS!
This is gold:
"Sorry that being King is such a trial for you,â
âMy humblest apologies that you find yourself not up to the difficult task of eating.â
So whoâs immolation was worse?
Literal ones are always worse than metaphorical ones.
team, thinking about it, i have literally never felt more protective of an mc in my life than my mageâi genuinely am so upset for them and how their life has turned out. it seems like literally every single person in their entire life from thaubalâ> mireilâ> leonâ> tahlia has treated them like a resource to be exploited until they werenât useful anymore. i think this is why i (personally!) am gonna have such a hard time trying to forgive leon. he was the one who shouldâve been different, but however differently he may have felt about mc than the other three, he treated them pretty much the same. why does no one love my child??
Same here.
And now I thought about my MC from The Exile. In a way, they seem similar to Mage Reborn MC - totally fucked up life since they were a child, always controlled, always treated like resourceâŚ
These are WiPs that cause a lot of different emotions in me, although I normally donât care that much when reading IF games. Itâs fiction, after all.
Iâm not going to try to fix relationship with with Leon. Sorry man, I used to like you, but, holy shit ⌠being burned alive!
OMG you are so right about similarities with the exile, just totally tragic mcs with no chance to be actual people without being pressured from all sides to be this or that. looking at it objectively, i think the choice to burn mc makes leon a really interesting character and im so excited to see where that arc takes him but my word! the emotions were like shockingly visceral to me i just want mc to make better friends!
Experimenting with min-maxing stats and just wondering, is it possible to defeat Leon in Chapter 3?
I donât think so
No you can not defeat him thatâs a hard coded story element basically showing off the power of that sword and accompanying bloodline tied to it. As well the skill the MC has and how they lasted the longest in those whom have tried to become the retainer.
Aug 4th, huh? Anyone want to bet the date will change? ![]()
Oh nice! If editing goes smoothly, I will be a busy lady from June to September! Golden Rose, The Sword of Rhivenia, A Mage Reborn and Samurai of Hyuga 5! Very nice lineup!
I wouldnât get my hopes very high since these are estimates but hoping everything goes smoothly.
does anyone know how i could get the third option? or is that part not written yet?
also, iâm curious how do you guys feel about yu when they let the saintess die at the hands of miriel? personally, iâmâŚdisappointed? (not sure if thatâs the word i want)
i just donât understand how they could let that happen to someone they consider a sister, when they know what mireilâs plan for her was, âall for a lofty goal theyâre not sure will ever come to passâ ![]()
I think Yuâs actions are fairly in line with what we know about them. At some point Yu comments that if only noble causes could all have noble means or something along those lines. We also see that Yu will do what they believe is necessary, but that they will try to keep the casualties to a minimum if they can - but that doesnât mean they wonât make sacrifices or kill others. Besides, the authorâs description of Yu describes them as a believer of the cause too. Believing in a cause and being unsure if itâll pass are not the same thing. I can believe in soulmates and be unsure if Iâll ever meet mine, for example. I donât feel really surprised or disappointed; if anything it just helps to drive in that Yu really will make those sacrifices if it comes down to it. Thereâs also other context to keep in mind, such as the fact that most of the others donât seem to care at all about the means, the bodies they need to pile up, etc. Heck, I believe Yu says that Tahlia and F actually want to kill anyone that could stand in their way. Then thereâs Tahlia being the head honcho and probably the one who greenlit Sisterâs plan. They even discuss, briefly, that they seriously considered bringing Sister back instead. Basically, what I am trying to say is, even if Yu had tried something, it was unlikely to have changed anything. So does Yu try anyway and potentially make enemies with the others, or does Yu just follow along for the cause? Those are just some of the things Yu could have been thinking about, that we are not privy to. MC even comments that the choice must have been a difficult one.
Besides, if we go by that logic, you could argue that the whole thing with MC getting burned to death to begin with is much more disappointing. Three years of fighting a war side by side and even more time before that as a party and that is how it all ended. Are you disappointed that Ilya and Saine let MC die? I would bring up Leon too but for him I feel itâs definitely more controversial.
