Also I fixed some pronoun errors in chapter two, as well as a large bug dealing with how you get free from the brownies.

I really like the introduction and I think it sounds very intriguing but on the first game it’s described as otome. Do mean like “dating sim like” or more like “intended as a f!mc and m!ros”?
Well today otome usually means a romance game.
It changed a little from 5-6 years ago but today usually people mean only it. M or F MC, it’s the same. And idem for the ROs.

Either drag or dragged would work, depending on the tone. “Something dragged you to the Gate?” sounds more formal, while “Something drag you to the Gate?” where you drop the “Did” at the beginning is a colloquialism.

@Bizimo So Wolfie was partially right, yes. I really need to find a better word for this, because ‘otome’, to me, means a lot more than just “dating sim,” but I haven’t found anything better. Essentially, yes, there’s something of a focus on romance, but more than that it means that it’s focus is primarily narrative over stats.
While ACoW does have stats, obviously, they’re primarily there to support the narrative and guide it in a way that the player wants, rather than to lock you out of something of shut you down.
Less pretentiously: there are no fail states. In ACoW, I don’t want you to refrain from trying something just because your stats don’t technically support it if that’s what your character would do in that situation. You’ll get different results, but they won’t necessarily be bad and they won’t be game breaking.
Maybe none of that is limited to the otome genre, but it’s really the only place where I’ve experienced narrative games like that, therefore I used the term.

Erm. As to the whole dragged vs drug, well, I thank y’all for trying to help, because I know that’s where this is coming from, but drug is the valid past participial of drag in a lot of southern USA dialects.

Hah, yeah regional differences can be weird like that. Like I mentally cringe every time I see “leaped” instead of “leapt.” Neither is wrong, but leaped just sounds terrible to me since I’m not used to it. It never occurred to me that people might not be familiar with drug as a verb. … well. A non-necessarily-hostile verb.
